Widgets

Hi again
Today I learned another important term for blogging which is called"widget".Here is the definition of it(taken from B4B yahoo group):

Widgets - fun, useful mini-applications that help you do everyday tasks. Widgets display information and invite the user to act in a number of ways. Widgets like clocks, chat widget, weather widget, etc, allow you to do something right there in the blog, without opening
another application.

I 'm planning to add at least two widgets to my blog since my purpose is to find out how a successful blog can be created.I hope to complete my widgets mission successfully. If I have any technical difficulties,I 'll note them to my blog.(as this blog is supposed to be a reflective one):)

The widgets are impressive--I'm not there yet!
Istanbul is a city I've always wanted to visit--one of these days. It is has such a fascinating if bloody history.
I hope to catch up to your ability before long.

I like your blog, and I have a question to ask you about the links you have in it. How did you put them? I'm trying to learn how to do that.
Hugs,

Barbara

Isn´t the word widget a fun one? Just the combination of sounds makes it very special, as special are the functions that help us develop our blog for its best use.
Best regards, Berta

Hi Beyza,

I enjoyed visiting your blog and seeing how it's growing; it was nice to see the photos; in 1983-5 I lived in Turkey (one year Bursada and one Izmirde) and I loved it; unfortunately, I've forgotten most of my Turkish, but your blog really is cok guzel! Keep it up.

Hi Beyza
I'm glad you learned a new word "widget". The first time I heard this word was last year and I had no idea what it was until I saw some different types of widgets. Now I really like them. They are fun and interactive! Hope to see some widgets in your blog soon, but we will focus on that on week 5!
Warmly
Erika

Hi again bloggers
First of all,I'd like to thank everybody for commenting on my blog and coming up with interesting ideas. In my opinion cooperation is the keyword in our lovely B4B group. My blog was very very simple one in the beginning but I tried to improve it day by day (either by asking questions especially to Carla or just by trying sth different in my blog). It is still a simple one though:(I'm very happy to know that many of you love my country and city:)Maybe I can create another blog about Istanbul or add some slides to this blog.Barbara ,adding links to your blog is pretty simple.First of all you should click on "customize "and then "page elements".After that, you should click on "add a page element".Then you should click on "link list".You can add many links there and save it.Then your mission will be completed but I'm sure other missions will be waiting for the bloggers.Learning is a never ending process as we all know:)
Hoscakalinn,tekrar gorusmek uzere:)
Best wishes
Beyza

Hi Beyza!
First of all I want to tell you I liked your blog description in the header. I'm especialy happy to know you're making friends at B4B. Second, I want to congratulate you on your first widget (the dictionary box) on your blog. We'll see many others in week 5. Last, I loved the word "blogophobia". I think I'm gonna start collecting al these terms you've been coining. Everybody's gonna have a good laugh!
